My 5 2019 goals and my word of the year

My 2019 goals

  1. Travel: Travel to at least 1 new place and have 1 new experience. I’ve been to a good share of countries but have seen very little of the States.  It would be cool to go to another state and see something. As for experiences anything will do: a taking a class, visiting a museum I’ve never been to, etc…
  2. Continue to focus on taking care of myself. Having 3 kids someone always has an appointment or event. I just let myself fall behind. Realizing last year I hadn’t been to the doctor since my 6-week post-natal check up with my last kid so rounding that 2 year mark I decided enough with that and made myself an appointment. As part of this I’ve gotten a little more serious about getting a good sweat on 3-5 times a week. Last November i challenged myself to 25 classes in one month. I will continue to improve on this without sacrificing my children’s needs.
  3. To continue getting rid of things we have duplicates of or no longer need. I am done having babies. So we know that we no longer need the chew proof books and my kids like the longer books, so the short quick ones are out. Along with many of the toys my children have outgrown. But I myself am not exempt. I’ll be going through my craft hoard and narrowing my focus, so I craft versus just put things away.
  4. Be more accountable for the things I only have limited time for. My husband and I give each other a night off once a week. So, one night a week I have about 3 hours to craft to my hearts content he even usually brings me a plate of whatever he cooked for the kids. However, since I have a limited amount of time. I want to plan it out more before I sit down and I also bought some timer cubes to remind myself that I shouldn’t find something to watch for 30 minutes and then complain I got nothing done. I usually want to clean up the space for a few minutes so my cubes remind me when my cleaning time is up, and I need to get something done. I’m also making kits with paper from some of my 6×6” and 12×12” pads and coordinating solids and that way during the week I can look in my project binder to see which stamps I want to use and make a sketch to eliminate time waste.
  5. Revamp my etsy shop and get back into the swing of it. I have been neglecting my small etsy shop of planner items. I’m out of the habit of making new things and updating my shop. I plan on getting back into it more this next year.

My word of the year is:

Bloom

I chose this word as I want to continue to bloom, as a mom, a blogger and a wife. I think it conveys different things to different people.  Plants get rained on, sometimes even crapped on but when it’s their time to bloom that’s exactly what they do. While somethings we cannot get past I just need to bloom into me.
